General Dynamics Cloud Solution Platform Receives FedRAMP Authorization

General Dynamics Information Technology announced that its “GDIT Cloud” offering has received Federal Risk Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) authorization. FedRAMP is a government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. This authorization provides U.S. federal, state and local governments, as well as non-government organizations, with the assurance that a cloud solution complies with rigorous security controls.

“Federal agencies’ adoption of cloud computing for mission applications is accelerating,” said Marcus Collier, senior vice president of General Dynamics Information Technology’s Health and Civilian Solutions division. “By meeting FedRAMP’s extensive standards, we can help agencies make the move to a trusted cloud solution without sacrificing security. The GDIT Cloud is designed to specifically meet the requirements of government customers and to minimize cloud implementation and performance risks.”
