Datavision, Inc., a leading SDN/NFV consulting and integration firm, and CPLANE NETWORKS, a leader in the SDN orchestration market, are announcing the industry’s first Multi-site OpenStack Orchestration Platform. This solution manages all of the physical and virtual compute resources across multiple distributed OpenStack Data Centers from a single pane of glass.
The solution uses CPLANE’s Dynamic Virtual Networks – Data Center (DVNd) product with multi-site OpenStack orchestration to fully automate the provisioning of virtual data center resources, while Cisco’s NSO provides WAN service management and device configuration. Both aspects of the solution have full API connectivity to northbound applications which utilize custom user portals for engineering or customer self-service functionality, as well as interfaces to existing BSS/OSS systems. Datavision contributed the overall architectural design and YANG model development for the solution, while CPLANE’s DVNd with multi-site OpenStack orchestration software provides the OpenStack-based Cloud provisioning solution.
“We are very excited to be presenting this solution at the Metro Ethernet Forum GEN15 Conference this year,” said Mark Abolafia, Vice President and SDN Practice Lead at Datavision. “This solution can be customized via the YANG modeling language and through the NSO framework for any number of services and supported devices in the WAN. The ability to automate network configuration and terminate those connections at any number of sites/virtual machines in a cloud environment is the solution many of our Telecom Operator clients are seeking.”
Bruce Ericson, SVP Business Development, at CPLANE NETWORKS said, “Our joint efforts with Datavision have provided our clients with the ability to unify their Datacenter and WAN resources under a common API and SDN-centric approach. The DVN suite of products with multi-site OpenStack orchestration provides our Telecom clients with a very powerful solution to fulfill the promise of SDN and automated network provisioning.”
The solution will be on display at the GEN15 Conference at Booth #720 during the Exhibit sessions from 12:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
